The Show & Tale Play, Film & Arts Festival (“The Show & Tale Festival” or “Festival”) is a bi-annual showcase to bring fresh & exciting projects of unique and divergent voices to our community. The Show & Tale Festival provides a creative, diverse, and inclusive space for playwrights, filmmakers, and performance, graphic & fine artists from Los Angeles, the United States, and beyond to be seen and heard.
Submissions will be collected starting September 2, 2024 at 11:59 PM until October 14, 2024 at 11:59 pm. for short films, and until September 30, 2024 at 12 noon for short plays.
The Show & Tale festival takes place on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at POP HQ, 125 S Avenue 57 in Highland Park from 7-10 PM.
Our Advisory & Selection Committee ("The Committee") will read and review each piece weekly, narrowing down the number of scripts to a nice selection of curated plays and films. The committee collectively decides on what will be presented at our festival and fits our objective of fresh, compelling, new, exciting stories.
Our Artistic Board will curate the programming blocks of the festival blending carefully selected films with plays and other art forms. Due to time restraints and the number of submissions, not all submissions will make the Official Selection list for The Show & Tale festival.
